Smyth Moving Service of Alaska, Inc.

There are two methods of containerized shipments available. The method that is best suited for your move will depend on a few factors: the size of your shipment, what is being included in your move {i.e. all boxes or alot of furnishings} and your destination.

Containerized shipments can include crates or trailers, which are available in 20', 40' and 45' lengths. Keep reading to find out more!

Crates: First you have crates, or what is commonly referred to as a "Lift Van". These are great for shipments that contain mostly boxes and little bulky furniture. Giving added peace of mind that, even though you might have a small shipment, your belongings are not re-handled at any point after loading at origin.

This also means, no lost or misplaced items since the crates are sealed and banded at the origin warehouse and not re-opened until delivery!

Trailers: Trailer shipments create a wide variety of options for the do-it-yourself move or for those that want to have the choice of what services the moving company provides. Contact Smyth Moving Service if you have questions about what trailer size would be best suited for your relocation. Click on the below thumbnails to learn more about each photo.
